my DD's 5 year old friend has just been to the dentist and had to have four fillings. I thought children that age were fine but was obviously very wrong.

So I have been told by her the dentist's warning - that children should use electric toothbrushes if possible, avoid juices, clean teeth very vigilently etc etc...

dried fruits as snacks between meals are one of the worst culprits, also don't rinse your mouth out after brushing by swishing lots of water around IYSWIM
