Uncomfortable buggy

I have a Silvercross travel system which my 6 month old son finds very uncomfortable as a buggy.

When I place him in it he slides down and his back becomes arched - altering the straps does not stop this happening.

The moment he is put in it he gets upset and is clearly uncomfortable.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

i never had silvercross, so i dont know.
how old is he? can he sit unsupported? get speemskin liners they are soft and support if they small in the big buggy.
some buggys does not sit bolt upright, im afraid so its very odd when babys are young. once they can pull themselves up, they tend to look ok.
otherwise not much help, sorry
