I felt very smug when ds2 was 6 weeks old and would happily drift off to sleep by himself....

Those days are long gone though...He won't sleep unless he is rocked or walked with or given milk...I was awake last night for ages trying to cajool him into going back to sleep...we were like this with ds1 and I swore we'd never go there again

How can I help him learn to fall asleep by himself without any props? I really would welcome all suggestions....It's a bit difficult leaving him to cry as he will wake up ds1....

thanks

Conmfort toy or blanket worked for me. It must smell of you though so I used an old t-shit and then cut it in 2 once he was attached to it so i always have a spare!

It takes ages to get them attached to it but it has been a godsend.
