My 4 week old has days where she is constantly wanting the breast and I'm trying to figure out whether she might be comfort sucking or is in a growth spurt; how regular are they and how long do they last?

They have regular growth spurts. I know it feels like your the human dummy but 4 weeks is too young to stop demand feeding.

Get the tv remote, your phone and a big glass of juice (maybe some chocolate). Enjoy your time on the couch, soon you'll not be able to sit down for 5 minutes.
