She goes everywhere indoors/outdoors whatever with her hood up, she screams if it is taken down, and cries if i put a jumper on her which has no hood.

Will she soon take to hanging around on street corners outside Sainsburys Local, drinking cans of lager and looking threatening to passers by?

at least she keeps some clothes on!

Buy her a pair of reebok classics and get her ears pieced to complete the look?

JamInMyWellies · 16/10/2008 20:55

I feel for you.

My DS 17mth has a big plastic gold dollar chain that DP once wore to a fancy dress party and he insists on wearing it all the time. His very own special Bling.

I wouldn't mind, but she eats with it on, so there tends to be mash and yoghurt up the sides by the end of the day...

BigSpookyMurderingGitDad · 16/10/2008 21:53

Turn the heating up until she gets too hot in it!

I have this with my now 7 year old ds1. He has done this since very young too. We had to institiue a rule saying that when indoors (including buses, trains, etc), the hood had to come down. With him, I think it is partly that he gets cold, and partly that it helps him feel he has his own space when out and about in the very busy area of London we live in.

This is mine..... here

graffiti too

Is there no hope?

BGD - she doesn't respond to heat - including when sleeping in bed for a nap. Sweaty hair [yuck], so unfortunately furry earmuffs will probably not be a solution either!

Straight out of East is East. The lad in the hooded jacket turned out to be the write of the script.

My DS is 3 and fell in love with a sparkly plastic version of Swarzkovi (sp) crystal matching necklace and bracelet set. He put it on in the shop and I had no choice but to buy it. It's primarily pink and red, but ultra girly, and it drives Dh mad. Ds wore it so much the plastics string wore out, and thankfully the necklace broke.

BTW, hopefully problem solved - went and bought a couple of cheap non-hooded fleece jumpers which she's been wearing for a few days now. Besides when wearing her coat (outside, so that's ok anyway) she is now hood-free. Phew!
