Temper tantrum at 8 months?

When do babies learn to cry because they're not getting their own way as opposed to something being wrong?

My DD is under the weather and not eating very well. She's an angel if I offer her food she loves but today I offered her a puree that she's eaten lots in the past but today she went crazy. I sat her down on the floor and left the room and she stopped screaming but as soon as I came back in started again. Was this telling me that my choice of lunch was not good and she was really hungry? Or just that ice cream and chocolate buttons are the only thing I should give her and I was absurd to think otherwise?

Not a temper tantrum at 8m

Pissed off and under the weather, probably

who knows? They do go off things randomly. They can love a certain meal and then refuse point blank to touch it if you offer it a few days later.

I struggle to keep up sometimes and just try and give a variety all the time so he doesn't get bored.

If she's under the weather I'd let her eat what she wants, if it's fruit and yoghurt instead of veg it won't hurt. It's not temper she probably just feels rotten. I'm fussy about food when I'm ill.

Hi, I am sure my 8 month old has temper tantrums of sorts, if she is being changed and wants to play she goes mad, if i say no to her she goes mad, I remember going through it with my son but he was around 1 so i do think it is a tantrum with her, it never lasts long but i think i am in for a rough time with her,... unless she gets it out of her system early LOL!!
