gaviscon usually makes babies constipated

has it been prescribed for reflux?

Elffriend · 17/10/2008 13:14

Yes, infant gaviscon does change the consistency of poo - goes much more 'paste' like. Diarrhoea for two nights does not sound like a normal side-effect but infant poo does vary massively! If it is really runny might be worth just getting checked out - babies can dehydrate really quickly.

FWIW gaviscon never made DS constipated but I know that an be a commmon side-effect.

yes has for reflux am thinking she may have a stomach bug and its just a coinsidence maybe, will give it a couple of days off it then try her again i think
