Hair Pulling

DD 13 months keeps pulling my hair so hard I think I may end up bald! Has anyone got any tips on how to get her to stop doing this? I have tried ignoring it, asking nicely, saying no firmly and putting her down, none of which have any affect.
It mainly happens when she is tired and I am carrying her or if she gets stroppy when I pick her up.It is happening on a daily basis and it really hurts. I am getting so fed up with it that I feel really close to losing my temper when she does it .
I know she is still very young but think she is old enough to understand to some extent to stop when I ask her to. Please help!

My ds has just got over this, he's 13 months too. It's eye watering isn't it? The only tip I have is a way to release her hold which doesn't hurt and that is to squeeze her fist with your hand putting the pressure on the outsides so the fingers release. Hard to describe in writing! If this doesn't make sense I'll try again.

I don't blame you for wanting to lose your temper, it's very painful but like everything, it will pass.

Do you have long hair? Could you tie it back or wear a hat if not?

I'd keep saying 'no' as you release her hand.

Give her something to hold in each hand so she cannot get hold of your hair.

Thumbs up for the "release technique" . DHT have cut hair fairly short so can't tie back. I like the idea of giving her something to hold - will give that a go too
