DS has been having Efalex liquid (wont swallow the capsules)for the past 4 weeks. Obviously I havn't noticed any changes yet but I have heard that oil containing evening primrose oil can caused hyperactivity. Does any one know anything about this. Also what brands of omega 3 oils dont contain evening Primrose oil. It must be liquid cos DS wont swallow capsules. I'm due to buy some more next week cos DS is on his last bottle and dont want to get Efalex again if there is some evidence that it is casuing hypercativity when this is the thing I'm trying to clam down!!

I can only speak from personal experience, but my ds was fine on Efalex and went completely hyper on EyeQ.

It's not the epo its the ratio of omega 6's to omega 3's that can cause problems. Quite a few children go hyper on eyeQ- most are fine on efalex.
