Where to get baby weighed

Any where I can get ds weighed - used to go to HV but am back at work now and can't get to surgery.

I don't have any scales in the house.

How old is he?

Are you worried about him? I don't bother having DS weighed these days - means I can avoid the odd HV at the clinic too!

Any scale for an adult will work you only will need to pay twice. First weight yourself without the baby, and then with the baby, deduct the difference and there you have it.

Vet scales are fantastic (if they have them at reception of course)

You can have him weighed anywhere. Just take your red book with you and the hv's there will send a note with the measurements to your own hv.

Have a look an your yellow pages and ring round to see where theres a baby clinic thats open now.

TracyK your GP could weigh him, but TBH I didn't get dd2 weighed after her 6 week check until she was about 9 months. Then again at her 18 - 2 yr check. I really wouldn't bother unless there is an underlying need to do so.

DD1 on the other hand was weighed weekly until she was about 7 or 8 months old. She was prem and it was important in her case as she also had bad reflusx and didn't digest food. In this case we needed to make sure she was gaining weight regularly. Otherwise it was a pain.

Thanks ladies - I don't have any real reason to have him weighed except out of nosiness.
He's 1 year old on Sunday and would like to have him weighed and measured at this point out of interest.
Will maybe pop into the vets - they do have scales in reception - can pretend to buy some dog food.
