DD keeps touching herself

Hi, my DD (nearly 3) has discovered how nice it feels to put her hand between her legs and rub! Nothign wrong with it per se - normal learning about new sensations and all that. But she does it a lot, and for a long time, and sometimes in front of other people .
We've had the 'private' chat a few times and I think she's getting the hang of it being something you do in your own bedroom not in front of others, but I'm worried that she's doing ti such a lot. Is this normal? Is there anything I should be doing to discourage her?

DS1 (3.4) has also started doing this - so far only in front of us - so I shall be watching this thread with interest to see what others advise! I'm sure it's normal, but not quite sure how to react/whether to say something etc?

Very normal, all kids I know do it. Not sure how to get them to only do it in private though. I think they'll just grow out of it although my dh has always got his hands down his pants so not holding my breath for him.
