Suddenly there are 3 in teh bed...dd waking in the night and sleeping in with us

My soon to be 3 yo dd has for the past week been waking in the night and not settling back down - so we have had her in our bed

This seems to have co-incided with us changing her bedroom from her nursery decor to pink and girly Disney Princess, which she loves. We have also taken the sides off her cotbed so she can now get in and out of bed

Potty training has also recently clicked and I think the thing that contributing to her waking is the need to wee as she will sometimes ask for the potty

She has becom obsessed recently with the Beauty and the Beast film and adores the Princess Belle. When asking her why she won't go back to sleep in her room she says because the Beast is there....but then she has also gone on to say it's because Dora (The Explorer) is in there - she can't be scared of her!!! She quite happily watches B & the Beast, so am unsure if it's that that is really unnerving her. She also goes to bed absolutely fine with no fear.

I have always been so anti having her in our room - previously when we had disturbed nights when she was in her cot, would leave her to cry it out or dh would sleep on the floor til she'd gone off again. Guess we are just taking the easy option as she's not so easy to control now she can get out of bed.

Am I stressing over nothing - should I let her sleep in with us and hope this is just a phase, or should we go through hell to get her back to bed each night. If I do continue to let her sleep with us, will we ever get her back into her own bed again? Anyone else had experience of this. What did you do?

My DD is almost 4 and often comes into us in the middle of the night. I also would prefer not to encourage it but sometimes I am too tired to take her back and let her stay. I assume its just a phase (in that she won't still be doing it at 15!!). I don't mind too much cause we have a large bed so I don't really notice her except when she sleeps sideways and kicks me in the head!!!

Oh, and DD often makes up excuses and I generally don't believe them, I think she's just awake and knows she needs a reason to come in... (my favourite was "my nose is making a funny noise!!)
