I'm sure most of you have gone or are going through this one. My DS (23 months) is doesn't have to sit at the table to eat, especially in the morning. He just wants to play with his toys.

I've just started a regime of 'eat at the table or don't eat', as I'm sick of the fussiness. It's early days though.

I chatted to someone at toddler group last week whose DS is doing the same thing and was advised by their HV to just give him lots of snacks on a plate to eat while he played. This goes against the grain a little with me as he's very well-mannered and I"d like him to enjoy eating with us at the table.

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear what you're doing or what you did to problem?

I agree, continue as you mean to go on. If you give snacks to eat while playing you will never get him up to the table!! Try not to show you are bothered and hopefully he will come round.

Thanks, Groovychick2. I'll stick to my guns!

(sorry about the typing/spelling!)
