I know that I am a bit PFB.
Yesterday afternoon my 8 month old spent the afternoon with "grandma" (my MIL). I rarely have any time without her (still off work) but MIL asked for some solo time together with her.
My DD is very sociable baby, she has spent a couple of hours in a gym creche too. She loves people and lots of attention.
She was with my MIL for 4 hours. When I collected her, I sort of expected her to be excited (????) but instead she actually turned away from me.
I tried to kiss her but she turned her face away. I stayed there an hour with DD and MIL and DD seemed more engaged with MIL.
I was a bit upset (not massively, more miffed)
I then missed bed time (my mum was at an awards ceremony) so DH put DD to bed. Apparently she took half an hour to settle (normally easy to settle at night) and she then woke twice in the night.
I then felt bad that maybe I had caused her some sort of anxiety? She has spent 2 nights away from me with DH a few months ago and was completely fine.
I guess at 8 months she is a lot more aware of who is who.
Does anyone know why she would have been disintereted in seeing me?
My friend left her son for the first time last week, she is back at work. She collected him and intially he crawled towards her but he then turned his back on her and put his arms out to his nan too (!) - monkeys.
