First shoes

DS is 13 months, been walking for about 6 weeks but has only ever worn socks. The trip for his first pair of shoes was a nightmare! Loads of crying, screaming - from him (very out of character). It improved from lying on the floor to standing still in the shoes. But he absolutely refuses to move in them. It hasn't improved after 2 days. I've tried getting him to copy me in shoes, playing with them. But it's not really getting any better.
Any suggestions?

You can get these by mail order. They aren't too expensive and might be a good start to get him used to wearing shoes. www.georgieandtom.co.uk/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=82
