My 16 month old cries at everybody!!

My little boy cries at everybody even people he knows, this has been going on for months now and not sure it is just a "phase". I have always socialised with him and he goes to nursery 3 days a week which he loves. Any advice on how to deal with this??

No specific advice, just wanted to empathise, my ds is 16mo and has only just stopped being very clingy, a phase which has lasted for the last 6-8 months. It seems to have stopped with him starting to walk, don't know if that fits with where your ds is at? Mine refused to be held by anyone else if I was in the room, got very upset if I left the room, needed ages to adjust to seeing grandparents etc.

Just keep being patient with him and let him take his time - good sign that he loves nursery - rather than making him be with other people if he's obviously upset.

Is it only when you are there?
I really wouldn't worry about it if he is fine at nursery.

Thanks for your messages, yes he has just started walking so hopefully that my help and yes it is just when I am there. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to react should I ignore it or try and reassure him?
