Up to now i keep telling myself he will grow out of it but he is showing no signs of doing so. My Dd1 has always just eaten everything (lucky me) so I have had no experience of picky eating. He eats ready brek for breakfast and wont eat any other cereal will not eat normal toddler finger foods (including biscuits!) and will only eat his dinner if it is pureed spitting even the smallest of lumps. Any advice anyone please?

Can you try getting him to bite into things- chunks of apple or cheese- without eating them, to get him used to the feeling of biting food.

thats an idea although I can see lots of spitting out going on!

My 21 month year old son is exactly the same, he will eat biscuits and crisps, but wont even try/pick up toast or sandwiches or fruit, I need to get him eating properly as my third is due in 9 wks, any suggestions much appreciated.
thanks

Check his tonsils. My mum couldn't eat solid food until she was 5- she had massive tonsils which basically meant food couldn't go down in solid form. Once she had her tonsils removed the problem was solved.
