Round and round and round

DS1 feels DD was mean to him so he states he will be rude to her. She calls him rude boy and says she won't play with him. They don't like it when one is mean to them but they don't see how it is when they themselves are mean to someone else. How do I help them see it? I keep telling them but it isn't going in.

DS1 is 7 and DD is 5.

Give it another 3/4 hour and they will be asking to share a room.

exactly - so just let them get on with it! As you say it will be over soon enough anyway.

Keep on telling them - it WILL go in eventually. It takes a long while but honestly, they will see that two wrongs don't make a right.

Whether they will see it before you lose your mind is something I can't predict though
