DS is having a 'sleepover' at school next week. There was a list of things to pack for the night and things NOT allowed sent home today.
On the NOT allowed list was "iPod, MP3 player, electronic game, walkman or discman"

DS asked what the last two were

DD has also asked me if I had TV when I was a little girl

We went overseas when ds2 was 2.5 and returned to the UK when he was 3.5. In the midst of unpacking our worldly goods from storage he found some story tapes - didn't have a clue what they were and was amazed to find that they behaved like CDs on the whole.

DD 6 "Were there dinosaurs still when you were little?"

piratecat · 23/08/2008 18:37

when dd aged 6 says 'muuuu uuuum' and raises her eyebrows/looks disdainfully at me when I

say a joke
call her my baby
sing
dance
get a character name wrong

i am too YOUNG to be embarrassing, surely.

MrsDisapproving · 23/08/2008 18:37

PookiePodgeandTubs · 23/08/2008 18:43

My dd6 said to my father that his boobs were bigger than mummy's. We were both a little

Then she said to my Mum, are you really good at the hoolahoop because in your day there was nothing to do? (except stare at the cave wall?? ) My Mum just said "yup that's right honey".

Riddo · 23/08/2008 19:23

dd used to call my Dad's LPs "Grandpa's big CDs"

woodstock3 · 23/08/2008 19:46

was trying to explain to my niece, then about three, what a niece was and told her that her mummy was my sister and her granny was our mummy. she looked at me for a bit and then said: 'no, you don't have a mummy.' and i said why not? and she said, quite kindly: 'because you are old'.

bigdonna · 24/08/2008 10:24

BeckyBendyLegs · 24/08/2008 11:19

Going to an exhibition 'life in the 1970s' (made me feel very old in itself) and the DSs laughing at the 'funny TV from the old days'.

Elibean · 24/08/2008 12:42

When dd1 pokes my underarms thoughtfully and says 'whats that mummy?'
