I was alarmed to hear a strange and rhythmical sound emanating from DD today; and realised that she was clicking as she moved her lower jaw from side to side....is this normal? or should we be heading for the docs...?

i think its normal my dd2 is a year and has been doing this for the past 6 months, she now has teeth and she grinds them, it sounds awful so i reach for the dummy stick it in her mouth and it usually stops her. A friend told me it meant be good for teeth so they not too sharp... dont know if true or not '

jus read yours again... was it her gums or her actual jaw clicking...dont know bout jaw

Thanks natnoonoo; it seems to be the actual jaw, as she was wobbling it from side to side - I distracted her quickly, and she stopped, so I'm hoping she won't try it again (fingers crossed)
