Can babies first teeth be their back ones?

I'm sure DD is teething but there is no sign of any front teeth coming through. however I watched her and she's rubbing her back teeth. I also felt it and I can feel the shape of the teeth through her gums. Is this possible?

Please give me some ideas on how to help her as well as she is constantly upset and has had Loads of bowels movements (about 10) in the past 4 days (which someone told me can be related to teething) and it always leaks - stupid cheap nappies.

Back teeth can take ages to come through, and even tho it hurts at the back she might have a front tooth out first.

How old is she?

It would be unusual for back to erupt first, but not unknown!

She's 7 months.
She must just be getting that thing where you feel pain in different places to where you've actually hurt then.
