I am used to having to hide in corners like an alkie swigging coke or other evil drinks, because if she sees it she goes ballistic for some....

But now coffee or tea.I can't hide for ever. When oh when will this end? I have to conceal it in a room and keep nippinhg in for some. In desperation poured a tiny bit in a cup, dumped a load of milk in and ofered her some. Cue look of distaste.

30 seconds later...wantmummycoffee........

I dont mind ds draining my cup if he gets hold of it and its cold. For me its not an issue about whether I want him to drink it or not. I know he gets whole cups of tea at his dads house. So that for me really isn't the issue. Personally I think that saying no to him should not result in an argument whatever it is about. Whether its No you cant have tea/coffee to No dont touch the oven its hot. No to me means no. However I believe that water is more than adequate as a drink for my toddler. I give him juice as a treat but that is on my terms and not down to demands.

Sorry if anyone does not agree but these are just my views. Not meaning to offend anyone. Everyone has the right to bring their child up as they see fit so please don't think I am dictating my opinion.

DD1 went with me to put out the recycling and pointed out the 'mummy juice' bottles to the neighbour . That's what I say to her when she wants my wine. She has her own cup of tea or hot choc with me and helps make it closely (at 2.10) so I have high hopes that she'll be making mine soon
