Have you got a 15 month old? Do they say anything recognisable?

I sometimes think we get a mama/dada but I'm probably imagining it. Other than that I don't think there's anything recognisable. He babbles constantly and makes loads of different noises. Does an "o-oh" if he drops something.

I'm just wondering when we're likely to get something more interesting.

My dd2 who is also 15 months doesn't say much, other than Mama, Dada, uh-oh and hiya.

Hi April 07 mummies

yes hello April 07 mummies!
I'm feeling relieved having read this thread - DS2 is just 16 months and saying very little that's recgnisable. Ds1 had loads of words by now, full sentences by the time he was 2 plus counting and colours around 20 months. I keep worrying in my darker moments that Ds2 is slower due to all the knocks to the head he's had as a 2nd baby... I know they are all different but even siblings to this degree?

lol bumper @ "training" ur DD!

not many clear words here, only half words with corresponding baby sign. she has dog, cat, tiger, drink, eat, more, fish, please, thank you, no or dont, all gone, yes (with nod not correct sign) and sad (dunno why she has that one, ) however i do think the half sounds i would have dismissed if she didnt have the signing, because they are not close enough to the word to be used alone, and for ppl to know what she is saying (of course i do tho)

she did say hello properly at 11 months, with a wave, in the right context (mr tumble on cbeebies)

ok im finished showing off

Is this thread still going?

Well, three weeks on from my last post and he now says:
Ball
Bubbles
Katie
Daddy (spent all afternoon saying this, no mummy though )
Garden (as in Night Garden )
Water
More
All gone
Elephant
Hiya
Bye bye
Chair
Vroom
There
Wow

It's incredible how things have moved on.
