DS, aged 21 months is doing forward rolls and head stands against the sofa. I've no idea where how and when he got the hang of it but I'm worried for his neck.

Help!

Perhaps I should have explained more...

I'm worried that he is going to do himself an injury. Is there anything at all I can do to minimise the risk? He is very skinny and tiddly!

My dd1 is like this, also from a very young age. She has so far managed not to do herself any damage, apart from the odd bump on the head.

Get a load of cushions and put them around the sofa. Or just stop him doing it (that will be hard!)

Cushions, excellent idea. Have only just managed to stop him climbing onto the fireplace.

it doesn't stop, but I do find that the more dd1 does these things, the less likely she is to fall, because she is so good at doing it, and the more she practices, the better and stronger she becomes.
