I'm working from home today. Had a conf call booked for 2.30. DS#2 just starting to play up - wanted to do some painting and I was asking him to hold off until I got this call out of the way. At that moment DD arrived home from a friends sleepover. Gave her a hug. Phone rang. Cue desperate hand signals to DCs to be quiet whilst trying to sound professional and in control . DD took DS#2 up to my bedroom, put a DVD on for him, got him a drink and a banana and sat with him while I finished my call.

It does make me feel good, yes. She has been a nightmare for weeks and weeks but I think she was knackered from school and has just had enough time to wind down now. DS#1 is the same. DS#2 is his usual self mind you
