looking at moving dd out of the cot but she shares a room with her brother who sleeps in a bunk/deck bed.
no probs with her being in the bed but worried that she may be too tempted to climb up at night. she's not bad at the ladder but am not sure she can come down well - they don't usually play in the room.
Anyone got youngters on bottom bunks?

my dd was in the bottom bunk at 2, i laid duvets on the floor for the first while in case she explored and fell.

(she did climb up once, fell down on the duvet and didn't try again unaided for about a year! i must be a believer in learning the hard way!)

My Youngest DD (20 months) is in the bottom bunk. She has been since she was 12 months. She never tried to climb to the top until last week, when we shouted at her, she cried and hasn't tried again since. But if she did, we do have a trundle bed / mattress which we pull out for her to fall out onto, just in case!
