FGs day 1 and they are off already

Bicker bicker bicker bicker they are driving me fucking nuts.

Dd2 is already banned from the trampoline and has been sent to her room for constantly whinging and whinning and screeching at her siblings so loudly that I'm surprised she didn't break glass.

Ds is basically just being a little shit and arguing the toss all of the time.

Dd1 is being quite good for a change but will insist on winding dd2 up.

It is day 1, I will of killed them by day 3 at this rate.

dd1 has been in a mood since school broke up on Friday

bickering and generally being a pain

I think it is the change in routine

so now it is up, fed, dressed, OUT

then they can whinge all they want as I will be at the other end of the park

sympathies dd1 preschool broke up last tuesday she is so bored no matter what we do/have planned only 46 more days to go (she has her mate round at the moment and they are terrosing dd2 so 3 lots of girly screeching)

Ow! I'm sorry to hear it IB. They are probasbly still hyper and tired from the end of term, I know mine are.Our holidays don't start till Friday, I'm hoping that after the weekend they will have calmed down enough for me to cope with them at home on my own.
can you hide away somewhere and make some plans for the next few days so they know what to expect, sometimes the lack of structure n the day sends them a bit wild.
Or, sit them in front of a DVD, have a cup of tea, take a deep breath and plan to take them somewhere like a park tomorrow where they can run riot outside which always seems to be more bearable. Good luck - I'm sure it will improve

We've been out, dd2 and ds both had a swimming lesson, and then we popped to the shop, came back and had lunch.

Everytime I give dd2 another chance, within less than five minutes she is off again.

I so fucking hate school holidays, it is just relentless crap 24/7, until I get to the point where I'd rsther stay in bed all day.

Perhaps it is me thats the problem not them !

I just seem to fall apart everytime they are off school. Last years summer hols were the worst ever, although alot of that was down to xp being a prat and not the kids, but I was so hoping this year would be better.

Ours break up today.... I always start the holidays looking forward to not rushing out in the morning.... by 10am on the first day I am already fed up with the arguing, etc and wishing I had arranged to do something with them!

You are not on your own ladies! Mine are 11 and nearly 9.

Luckily DS2 has gone to do some gardening back at school - their class is in charge of the veg and the mum that does it during the week will carry it on over the holidays.

I have sent DS1 out to find his friends as he was still in his pj's at 12.00 and I thought he could do with some fresh air.

They have finally calmed down slightly, and dd2 has apologised.

We are off out again in a bit, going to view new house, so hopefully they will be on best behaviour then.

It doesn't seem to make any difference here, wether we have plans or not because someone always disagrees with the plan and it all goes tits up.

Ours broke up Friday, had to send them to my mum's this week as I have to work She keeps telling me they are behaving, but she is spoiling them rotten

We're on day 3 so far we have......(ages 2 and 9)

been to toddler group
had a make over
played teachers
played monopoly
been out in the garden (thank god it hasn't rained)
made a drawstring bag
been to the park
been to the museum
been to town to buy material for bags
watched a bit of tv (like now, while the bicuits we just baked are cooking and dd2 is sleeping)

Dd1 has been the only one who has been hard work by just whinging, whining and complaining.

Am I the only one who can't wait for ds school to finish today? My dd finished pre-school yesterday. Yes they will bicker but it's so nice to have them around and not to have the daily packed lunches, getting out the door by 8.30 etc.

I am lucky as I work part-time and so have a balance of this and being at home with the children. Roll on 3.15!

HAH! Day 3 here and I'm going mental. Actually i felt worn down by it on DAY 1!!!!!!!!!!

Bloody hot but no sun.

DD2 has cut on her foot that looks infected and won't let me near it without dramas.

DP bought bright purple play sand and it's bloody everywhere.

Playdough lasted 10 minutes, will take 2 hours to clear up.

Ditto the bits of paper and card from the 5 minutes of sticking and gluing they did.

Agggggghhhhhhhhh

But yeah it is nice not to have to make packed lunches or have the getting them out the front door by 8.30 dramas.

Should add I'm a childminder, I should have had 7 children today as it is i've only got 3 so I should be finding this a total walk in the park (excuse the pun!) but I feel shattered already (got ofsted coming on friday though so I'm a touch tense about that, I know I have nothing to worry about but I'm still panicking! So that hasn't helped because I'm finding it hard to wind down to sleep)
I was hoping to have dp here at weekends to help out but Dp has booked a day out for his birthday on saturday, good job I haven't been as busy as i thought.

Ohhh yes. In this house they were all up by 8am! WTF. I have to drag the 2 boys out of bed usually. And the bickering was almost immediate. And DS#1 was bored instantly. I must admit to a brief moment of total misery at the thought of 6 weeks.

BUT..... by about lunch time they were all playing together ...nicely! Well DS#1 and 2 were bouncing on the trampoline whacking each other with boxing gloves so I guess 'nicely' might be pushing it a little But no arguing. I have every hope that it might stay that way - as they begin to relax.

A day out to the football, which neither me or dc's would want to go to anyway but I wouldn't mind going for the fry up beforehand so might do that (though he did say he was hoping it would be just him and his dad, sister and a couple of his friends) he has booked his birthday off but i'm working (I know, I usually book it off but we're having the week after off instead for dd1's birthday and to to go on holiday) dd's are making him a birthday cake and we need to get him a present so will spend saturday doing that then on his birthday we're going for a meal.

Slightly better day here.

Had words with dd2 last night, and she has really tried hard today.

They haxd swimming again so we got out of the house, and then they went to their dads for an hour whilst I had a driving lesson.

Now there are all playing on a new wii game and so far there has been no arguments (touch wood).
