Baby poop - indulge me!

Okay first time mum alert!

What should baby poop be like? My 7 week old always does a huge amount of poop in one nappy once a day, it is brown and really quite runny in consistency. For the first week we had him he had constipation so we changed him from SMA to Cow and Gate. He is no longer in any pain when pooping but I am a bit worried that it should be firmer!

Forgot to add - it smells really really bad!

Mine were breast fed so we had electric yellow poo, so I'm not sure about the expected colour and smell of formula fed poo BUT I do know that runny is absolutely normal as it's just milk

Yeah, apparently breast fed supposed to be yellow with mustard seeds type consistency (sorry, TMI). Bottle fed supposed to be much stinkier.

Thanks very much I'm glad its normal!

Before solid food you wouldn't expect solid poo, so yes, nothing to worry about. Breast-fed babies' poo mustardy yellow, bottle-fed darker and smellier.
