Dd has started licking everything.

She licks the windows, the walls, her baby brother, the dog's bowl, the garden gate, her toys, me, anything. Today she licked the door handle in a public lavatory.

Why?

And, yeugh.

life is one big experiment at the moment, my 3 yr ds likes to walk about with his eyes closed with predictable results....

DS (3yrs) has gone one better I feel. Yesterday he pulled down his swimming trunks (we are on holiday), marched up to me and demanded I lick his bottom. When I said 'er... no' he climbed onto my lap, stuck his bottom in my face and said 'no Mummy, lick my bottom'. He licks less things himself now so maybe Broccoli, you have this lovely phase to look forward to

One of the chidren (2.2) I childmind for started licking the garage wall every day. One day I saw her doing it and banged on the kitchen window to stop her. She jumped out of her skin resulting in a HUGE graze covering her nose, forehead and chin.

When her Mum arrived she said "Oh dear, has she fallen off the trike?" to which I had to answer "No she's been licking the garage again!"

I can't wait til Ofsted see that one in my accident book

Oh yes, I remember that one. I have vivid memories of dd1 licking plate glass windows, as in shop ones - filthy, digusting ones

She confines her licks to (rare) lollipops and (less rare) ice creams these days

I think it lasted a good few months, though!

dd wanted to lick my face and for me to lick her face. Lasted about a month. I quite enjoyed her licking my face

NOW, she likes me to kiss her back. Will not be distracted from it, and has an expression of such supreme concentration, and physical pleasure while I'm doing it that I'm full of admiration.

DS1 (3yo) has just started doing this. I winced as he licked the carphone warehouse glass door as we went past yesterday
