Long story short, ds1 has always slept through the night since 8 weeks old, now at 18 months he has changed his mind! waking all the time, not crying all the time sometimes singing and sometimes headbanging, sometimes screaming! He is cutting his back molars right now, can it be that simple? It is not every night its every other night but its wearing me down and I dont know what to do.....having never delt with a non-sleeper!

His timing is perfect as me and dp are planning number two, I wonder if he knows! and he is reminding me how tired having a newborn feels!

Also he was a fabulous eater and now every meal is a battle. He shakes his head refuses, and generally is hard to feed! Please tell me this is normal! Is he just asserting himself and wants to feed himself?

Kids!!!

If he is getting his molars, it is definately that which is causing the waking up and the food problems, without a doubt! Are you giving him any painkillers for his teeth at night?

Hi peggotty, thanks for that! he has had no problem with his other teeth but glad to know its something!....he has calpol before he goes to bed.....maybe worth keeping a 5ml syringe full by my bed (to save my lazy ass going downstairs at 3am) to give him if he wakes up......
