7 month old waking early

Hello,

Just wanted some advice. My 7mth old dd has very recntly started waking at anywhere between 5 - 6am.

Up until now she has been sleeping 7 to 7 with about 2/3 hours sleep in the day. However, I did not know whether there could be some reason why she is waking early. I think I do all the right things and often leave her as long as possible to see if she will go back to sleep, but she usually ends up wide awake.

What do you think?

Do you have blackout curtains? I found these really helped with mine.

Is she having plenty of food/milk before bed? Once DD started having a big supper (she has always been a good eater) she started sleeping better.

Is she waking and crying or waking and playing? If she's crying it could be any of the usual suspects, teething, hungry, dirty etc. If she's waking and playing I'd leave her to it if I was you and get some more shut eye. If all I can hear is happy noises I leave her to it until she gets bored and starts grizzling for me!

HTH.
