Noisy nine week old keeping me awake with a catalogue of noises - is it normal?

He blusters, stretches, grumbles, snorts, growls, coughs, gags all night long and I can't sleep despite wearing earplugs. Is it normal for babies to be so restless?

yes, my dd was always noisy and sometimes cries in her sleep,

Yes it is

It's the blustering and stretching that made me unsure - like he's having a little fight with his baby demons.

I suppose looking back it's why I bannished DD to the nursery when she was six weeks old.

My DS used to make the most horrific growling and grunting noises - I really thought he was in pain. I do sympathise - I ended up putting him into his own room at about 10 weeks because I just wasn't getting any sleep!

Yes, the nursery is beckoning although he's still feeding every two hours and I've got the lying down feeding in bed thing off to a T. For this reason it's best to have him near me so I can just pull him over to me. I'll just have to wedge the ear plugs in deeper.
