Strong Willed 14 month old!

I have a very sweet but incredibly strong willed 14 month old ds (going on 14!) who, if he does not get his own way, will physically resist things or shriek so loudly it nearly makes my ears bleed! Is this normal, presumably it gets better when he can express himself by talking or is this the early "terrible twos"??!!

LOL, I had one of these!

No doubt your ds will always be strong willed (try to see this as something that will help him go far in life)

Mine is now 9 and much more open to sugestion. - Good luck!

normal ds2 is 15mths and the same
trying to stuff them into carseats when they are rigid..
Aaargh
I find walking away nips it in the bud
no audience= no more noise.
and distraction
being firmbut kind now makes it easier when they are older... I have two very lovely older kids aged 14 and 5 so can say this with authority

Thanks guys - the voices of experience, I feel much better about it now I know I am not alone!
Would feel even better if there was some wine in the house!
