My 2 1/2 year old is obsessed with football

I really need some good advice. My son will be 3 in September and he is absolutely obsessed with football and wearing football kits. The obsession on a general level I can deal with as I'm more than happy to kick a ball about with him. However, the football kits have become a real issue and now he has a huge tantrum when he wears "normal" clothes. Am I being silly? Should I just let him wear whatever he likes and stop worrying?! Am I over reacting? Thanks.

I 'd say leave him to it and he'll grow out of it soon enough. Does it matter if he wants to wear a footy kit all the time? I quite often see families out and about at the supermarket ect with little superheroes or fairies behind them

I don't think there is much you can do tbh

I had to confiscate his pen when he got up to £140 for a signed arsenal shirt at the school summer fete silent auction

DD is 4 in September and would wear her kit everyday if she had the choice. She crys her eyes out when i peel it off her to go into the wash. Personaly I blame her Father. Im sure DS 5mths will follow suit.
