If I visit a soft play centre or trampoline place or indoor climbing centre with DS, recently every time it’s ended in us having to leave because he’s attacked somebody. That makes it sound like I’m going every week which isn’t the case - it’s more that we’ve gone and then given it a break for a while and then tried again.
I have given softplay a swerve but we had an incident (in fairness quite minor but still) at an indoor climbing centre this weekend.
The thing is, he isn’t like this at school and has a good group of friends although his ‘best’ friend is definitely a child with some behavioural problems and it is difficult not to suspect perhaps ds is drawn to him because of a sort of like to like thing.
He does have problems with repeated ear infections which we’re trying to get sorted (although frustratingly keep hitting walls.) I understand places like this perhaps exacerbate these problems and make him more likely to snap.
I would say ds has always maybe been a bit volatile but it’s not been every single occasion as it has lately.
