Dd used to do the massive screams too. I picked her up and held her under one arm and washed her hair anyway, just quickly. Don't necessarily have to do it in conjunction with his bath if you want him to enjoy his bath. And you certainly don't have to do it every night, a couple of times a week is plenty.

isaidno · 27/06/2008 20:19

just wipe hair over with flannel unless it is really dirty.

Don't do it too often - as cory said, once or twice a week is fine. Have you got a toy in the bath whose "hair" you can wash? e.g. "Shall we wash frog's hair?" (both pour water) "your turn!" We had to have mummy's turn a bit for a while, but a bit of wet hair for me was easier to deal with. And now she's fine again. Could well be just a phase. Perhaps just rinse rather than wash for a couple of days.

Yep, had this problem with my ds. Like isaidno, I got a nice soapy flannel and gave him a good rub. Then rinsed it in the same way. Did this for months!

bigspender30 · 27/06/2008 20:34

its a phase honest!
I use a sponge and gently wet the hair without ds noticing then use it to rinse shampoo out!

moocowme · 27/06/2008 20:37

yep do the same with a sponge as my little 'peach fuzz' does not have that mush hair yet.
