Hello!
I'm just looking to see if anyone knows where I can get parenting advice for silly things (uk/ireland) as im feeling a little lost
I've read lots of books and i do feel i've got control of parenting, my son is doing well and he's quite an easygoing guy but hes coming 2 this week and for the first time ever, he had a tantrum in public!
This was (in hindsight) probably due to overstimulation in the shop and also not understanding that i was not going to buy him bubbles lol and this is normal i know but my issue was actually how i behaved and reacted.
I just stood there and said stop that and kept walking and he got more upset so i lifted him and kept walking and saying shh but i feel like i should've maybe said more?
So yes any advice ! :)

Also this is my first child and the only child i've ever known beyond my siblings (small family) hence my incompetence lol

I think you’ve not doing anything wrong. There is not much point in saying more, he’s having a tantrum so won’t be listening to reason anyway and their understanding is quite limited at 2, they won’t be listening to long explanations Smile
