I have a just-turned-three year old daughter and a 20-month old son. They are both great kids... most of the time. The minute I am on the phone though, my daughter simply cannot stop whining, asking for my help, asking to speak with me, acting up, etc. I know she simply wants my full attention, but I do try to spend lots of quality time with her and I sometimes need to talk on the phone! I literally cannot even hear myself speak half the time.

Please mums... I am desperate. I need some good ideas on how to deal with this. So far, nothing has worked, other than plopping on a DVD which I don't want to do all the time. Any ideas?

No, I never make phone calls during the day any more I make them in the evening. I don't know how ANYONE with small children makes phone calls
