Inappropriate clothing

I’m struggling with my 3 year old wanting to wear clothes that aren’t appropriate for summer time. He’s obsessed with long sleeves, fancy dress costumes, jackets and socks (won’t wear his sandals without them) I think this might be because he got blisters… it’s full emotional meltdown if I say he can’t wear all these layers but it’s far too hot for him to go out in all these clothes! He mentions jackets at least once every 5 minutes.

I’d just let him
erar them if I’m honest but have some cooler clothes available if he gets hot.

I would say let him be and he will soon start taking layers off when he starts to be too hot! Maybe a good time to sit down and talk to him about different times of the year and weather. Could be good fun drawing suns and stormy days.
