just wondering how much eye contact you get from your 6 year old.
case in point. dtwin2, 6.5, boy. came over to tell me about a friend he's just made. story takes 5 minutes. he looks at my eyes briefly (like a second ) 4 or 5 times but the rest of the time his eyes are flirting around, not particularly at anything specific. he's not staring at his fitness for example to show me who he is, he's just got flightly eyes.
if I'm talking to him and want his attention I will have to specifically ask him to look at me when I'm talking to him so I know he's listening.
I reckon that's typical to an average NT child, my face just isn't that interesting but I'm wondering if it's maybe something I should work on for as they get older or if they'll just get better at it as they get older
