hi am worried that my son is displaying Austism traits and if anyone else has had similar experiences. He’s currently 14.5 months , corrected age is 13 months. He use to say mama and dadda a lot and now he doesn’t. He does babble but i feel like he’s getting quieter. He plays with toys , he will laugh at the tv , or if am making silly faces and playing with him . He doesn’t respond to his name but will if again am making a noise. He doesn’t point , copy me or bring me toys. He can stand but no walking just yet. If I try an look directly in his face he will
look away he never locks eyes onto me. He also twist his wrist when he’s excited / he been doing this since around 8 months. If I take his dummy an move it he will
look and get it - if he wants something that’s in reach he will move to get it . I’ve contacted the GP with my concerns but would love to hear any similar stories.

I think you’re right to contact your GP. It may be that there is nothing to worry about but losing language previously acquired should aways be investigated.

Before you see the GP I would completely the following and take them with you to the appointment:

I agree with the above, very good advice. Loosing language is a major red flag, it was our first red flag. For us it was 'mama', 'dada' and 'hiya', all disappeared over night. You have a number of red flags that need exploring. Do discuss with your health visitor as well.
