DD 2.6, has had me up and down the stairs for the last 40mins because she's frightened to close her eyes!
All because I changed her bedtime routine slightly last night by saying, "close your eyes and go to sleep."
Bless her. Think she may have settled now, but keeps crying for "more kisses! more cuddles! not close eyes!"
Not sure how to tackle this one!

No advice - but sympathy
My dd is afraid of flying insects and has a full on tantrum everytime one comes near her - really enjoying this nice weather with the windows shut..

you need to practice closing your eyes to sleep or father christmas wont be able to come this year.

Tell her she can keep her eyes open but she has to be quiet. She'll be asleep in no time.

And scrappy - try giving your DD a net or water spray and telling her to get the insects herself. Very empowering and worked for mine who used to squeal every time a fly came near here.

Sg - that's the approach I took... think she's asleep now
Uncharacteristic at bedtime - she normall goes to bed no problem.
Loving the insect spraying - chase the blighters away!
