Reducing screen time without constant arguments: what has helped your family?

Feeling like screens are becoming a bit too dominant in our house, but every attempt to cut back ends in an argument.
Has anyone found something that genuinely worked? More outdoor activities? Audiobooks? Family routines? Or is this just a phase most families go through?

I'd love to hear everyone's experiences.

If your DC is only 2, just take away the screens if it’s an issue. Have a break away.

Unplug the tv. Say it is broken. And if you are using handheld devices such as phone or iPad, let the iPad battery go dead and leave your phone in your bag and shelf.
Go to the library, take as many books as both your cards will allow, do pretend play (cafe, circus, school, plane, ...) .

A collective effort of the entire family is required to reduce screentime.
