5 month missing milestones - very quiet

Hi, my almost 5 month old baby rarely speaks and has missed her milestone. She still can’t lift her chest up and can not roll at all. She is suffering from dairy allergy, soya, egg and nut allergy which I have figured out as she is exclusively breastfed. She has been referred to the paeds department however taking too long. My first child has a e dairy allergy which she has grown out of now will only complain of tummy ache is she’s had too much dairy.

My 5 month old is making eye contact and is responsive but only for a little while. She is aware and alert but I am still extremely worried as she is not meeting her milestones compared to my other two children. Looking for reassurance!

Has she been referred because of her allergies or because she can’t lift her chest up @Mummy2022?

she bas only just bee referred to paeds! I expressed my concerns to gp a number of times but nothing was done until now and only got referred because i asked them to refer me.

Can I ask what kind of symptoms she had because of these allergies?

Hi, she has hives when I consume dairy, and when I have eggs and soya based foods she gets weepy eczema. Extremely itchy all over body and just really unsettled. My first born had only cmpa so symptoms are very similar to hers. However after eliminating these common food allergens my 5 month old is doing slightly better in terms of eczema but she still is very itchy.

yes, so she’s not gaining weight as much as she should be, along with her allergy symptoms and now she’s not hitting her milestones, almost like she has regressed. She still unable to do lift herself at tummy time. Not speaking still much and just very quiet in general. She still isn’t grabbing on to toys that well. And naturally am just concerned about her as my other two were not like this.

It must be worrying. Have they given you any indication of how long it will be before she’s seen by the Paeds? Has the HV or GP also referred her for Physio and Portage?
