My daughter is 14mo. She’s done everything early. Crawling at 5m, walking at 10m, said mama at 5m, now says ‘good girl’, ‘thank you’, ‘no’, ‘yes’, ‘mama’, ‘daddy’, ‘gone’ and a few other things. However, since she was about 11m, she switched from being very kind and cuddly, to honestly a cow. She bites, she pinches, she punches, she slaps, she hits, she headbutts, she even had her hands around my neck choking me and laughing the other day. She flung her head forward on purpose on my nose and it was bleeding and a mess, I nearly lost it. She shakes sometimes, I mean she clenches her jaw, grabs something tight and shakes like shes tensing up, normally when shes angry or excited. I’m starting to suspect she might have high functioning autism, the same as me and her bio-dad. I don’t know how to go about this, she doesn’t respond to anything I try to get her to calm down, stop being violent or hurting people, or even herself which she does just as much, but nothing works. She throws herself on the floor and headbutts the floors, walls, tables, she hits herself in the head, she flaps her hands around, she started biting herself, and it gets worse if she gets told off for being naughty. I just feel at a loss, and I’m concerned that as she’ll be starting nursery at 2, she’s going to be violent with the other kids and staff and could really hurt someone. Any suggestions on what to do or how to go about this as I’m really wearing thin and loosing my sh*t!!!
