Is it normal for boys to take their pants off all the time, together?

ds is 4, Last week he had a friend here for lunch and they spent the whole time taking their pants off and talking about/looking at their bums. The week before that at playgroup they went into a tent together to swap pants, I noticed when I saw a little bare bum sticking out. Is this normal behaviour? It's embarrassing!

Ahhhhhhhh! I wouldn't worry a bit. They won't be doing it for much longer so let them enjoy it while they can.

sounds about right to me
my ds2, 4 does like to take off his pants and chuck a brown eye at the drop of a hat, but thankfully this has been chiefly for the amusement of his elder brother, do date.

yep my nephews do this

RosaLuxembunting · 24/06/2008 20:08

My almost six year old girl and her six year old boy friend do this all the time. I wonder when they are going to stop.

beansmum · 24/06/2008 20:11

ok, I thought it was normal. I hope it doesn't last too long, it's annoying.

ds and his friend love going for a wee together - ditto dh and ds (ds likes it btw, not dh)

Poo bum willy head superhero kill wee wee to the rescue is normal 4 year old boy talk

Psychomum5 · 24/06/2008 20:21

yup.

tis the fun of kiddies and nakedness.

they love it

tis rather disconserting when they answer the door together tho to the meter reader man.

now, onlky question is, why can they not do it to the jehovahs witness's around my way, who are seriously worrying!

this is interesting...I was worried about this too! my dd just started school and started playing a 'touching bums game' with a little boy in her class. I thought it was innocent until she came out with the classic line " you take a peek and then touch" which revealed that they were actually touching other They do it behind the wall or in the toilet so presumably think that there is something wrong, as have to hide....I mentioned it to her teacher and to be honest she could not keep a straight face she said that it sounds like they have got it from someone with older brothers or sisters, but neither of them have. Is this also normal????

Wouldn't worry, I have a boy 3 and girl 2 and they never keep their underwear on, forever spending the day putting their clothes back on, just a stage experimenting, only having a bit of fun

jellybelly25 · 25/06/2008 00:31

yes i think so thirtysoon, the nursery staff one day were all over the place when i arrived to get dd1 (she was 3.5 at the time) because she'd been in the toilet with her favourite boy inspecting each others private parts and seeing if his would reach hers If you're concerned though just keep an eye on it and i'd put money on it being all done and sooo last week very soon...
