Hi all! Hopefully someone can help/ reassure me whilst I wait for a gp appointment.
my son (2 years) started nursery about 2 weeks 3 weeks ago he did settles all week and then did 2 half days. He wasn’t a fan. And I was debating if I should continue sending him. He wasn’t too bad by the time I picked him up he was ok but he didn’t love it and has never left me before.
then the beginning of the next week he came down with croup. He was so poorly for a week straight. The worst he’s ever been when I’ll. slept in bed with me for the week and we barely left the house.
this week he’s been on the mend. Still a bit snotty but other than that fine. But he’s had massive behaviour changed. All of a sudden he will not go to his dad at all. Won’t cuddle him won’t let him carry him. Will not go out of the house without me. Screaming so much of his dad tries.
he’s fine with me but super clingy. But the last 2 days he is screaming if I’m trying to get us both to leave the house crying he wants to stay home. But literally hyperventilating. He’s never done this before at all!
yesterday I managed to get him out while screaming and he calmed down once we were in the car but then he did the same today.
im so worried! What is going on?
