Sleep regression 🫠🫠

I think my 17 month old has hit a sleep regression. He was a terrible sleeper as a baby, last 6 months or so he’s been great - straight down with milk and not back up til 6/7am.
last 5 nights he’s been up screaming for hours on end. Nothing will settle him. We are exhausted!!
how long do sleep regressions last? Does anything help? I don’t remember this stage with my oldest. Hoping tonight is better but he’s already stirring 🙃

He’s not got his back teeth coming in a bit early has he? Is he walking yet? That can cause a sleep regression Smile

@TinyMouseTheatre thanks for replying. No back teeth yet and not really any signs of pain regarding teeth. He’s walking steadily and has been for a while. His speech is improving not sure if that can affect sleep. He just will not settle once he’s up 🫠🫠

There is a sleep regression around 18 months and you’re right that speech and walking can affect sleep.

The only other thing I’d suggest is having a quick look at this guide on feeding 1 to 4 year olds just to check he’s getting enough food in during the day as sometimes this can cause them to wake early Flowers
