Does ADHD seem to run in families or shared environment?

I’ve been doing a bit of reading about ADHD and something that keeps coming up is genetics.
From what I can tell, it’s not one single gene, but a mix of things that affect how the brain works. And it does seem to run in families, so if a parent or sibling has it, chances are higher for the child too.
Which makes me wonder how much of it is actually inherited vs just growing up in the same environment.
I’ve started noticing similar traits across different generations in my own family.
Has anyone else found this? Or am I overthinking it?

Definitely genetic in our family linked to a micro-deletion.
