13mo likes to wander around with knickers around her neck/on her head

It's as though she is compelled to take all underwear from the washing rack and place it over her head. Daddy's pants are the best cos she can get an arm in them and wear them like a sling too...

show offs lol

My 13mo does this. I spent today trying to stop her doing it because we had visitors.

Sometimes she triess a sock but prefers knickers.

Doodle2U · 17/06/2008 22:29

I like doing this - so what?

jellybelly25 · 17/06/2008 22:29

lol obviously this is the new three-brick-tower milestone! (not that she can do that yet)

At the weekend my dd21m came into the room after pilfering the washing rack wearing a g-string around her waist as a belt and a rather fetching black and white spotty bra with one strap round her head and the other round her ankle with both cups accross her torso....and asked for her coat because she wanted to go out.

teafortwo · 17/06/2008 22:40

aha aha aha - dd does this too. She is potty training now and her own knickers fit perfectly on her head. This is completely delightful for her! Her favourite outfit is a simple combo of just wellington boots and her own pants on her head. This is quite a special outfit in which she often demands her cd on and enjoys a good boogie to old MacDonald around the living room. Most children I know do stuff like this! When we should worry is when they stop.

What I want to know is... when do we as humans catch a glimpse of ourselves in the hallway mirror wearing nothing but a pair of pants around our neck and beach shoes on the wrong feet and say - "Mmmm... no... not a good look. I think the jean, t-shirt, flip-flops outfit is far more becoming!"???

whatdayisit · 17/06/2008 22:42

Fantastic peacelily.

When DS1 was 3, he ran around the changing room at the swimming pool, with red pants on his head yelling "I'm Little Red Riding Hood" He's progressed since then, now nothing he does can embarrass me.

jellybelly25 · 17/06/2008 22:51

Lol @ peacelily's dd!

Teafortwo, I think its when we see our parents doing it and realise how stupid they look! Loving the wellies pants and boogieing...

DD did this, especially (clean) gusset-y ones, yum.

hairtwiddler · 18/06/2008 19:38

DD did this. I have a very funny video of it. I remember she cheered me up no end when I was having a very glum day.
